What did you do to your TJ today?

Bittersweet day. Decided to sell the hardtop and go soft top all year round (not my DD). I said I would let it go if I got a certain dollar amount and the guy said ok. A little sad but it was more of a PITA to store and put on/take off each year for very minimal winter use.

My package from Quadretec came last night and I opened it today when I got off work. The frames are in perfect shape, not a scratch on them. Was really surprised because you could see where they poked through 3 layers of cardboard. Only bad thing was, they are both passenger doors. Uggghh. I checked the boxes they came in and they are labeled L and R but someone obviously didn't know the difference when they packed the box. LOL Anyway, called Quadretec and they say they are going to have the manufacturer send me a driver side frame and also send me a return label for one of the passenger doors.

The really bad thing about that whole thing is, if the manufacturer has as much trouble as most others, because of covid, then I could be waiting for who knows how long before I get the driver side. I'll give it a couple days and if I don't hear anything then I will probably call them and see if they can just send me out a whole different set and I'll send this set back. I should have asked him to do that, but I didn't. Dummy me. LOL

Then I went out and put the windows back in and gave it a bath. It has been getting pretty cold at 1am and 6am in the morning, and that is when I drive it the most.

I think the next project is going to be checking the axles (for the life of me I can't think of the name of the center part now that I'm typing) for any problems. I found this on my wheel the other day and I'm not sure where it is coming from. Might as well check the brakes while I'm at it. :D

I have been in your area at 0100hrs. Y'all get cold out there.

Picked up this cargo carrier at a yardsale for a steal this morning. Brand new and never been used. Should come in real handy for deer season.

Only issue is the PO for my rig put a 1.25 receiver on which is practically worthless as this and most anything else takes a 2". Will an adapter hold up and look decent?

I think the adapter would hold up. I'd be a little concerned about the extra leverage it has being pushed back more but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I would just get the adaptor its the cheapest route, for what its worth my hitch cargo carrier has been in the shed since I bought it and only tried it out once, cost me a lot more as we have to install a full tail light bar and auxiliary number plate,

What's the other light on the right side atop the bumper?

Changed the dif fluid. 64k miles. No idea if/when the PO did it so better safe than sorry.

Relatively easy job other than actually refilling the pumpkin. Did it in my driveway and there’s no easy way to tip the quart bottles enough to actually get it in the dif. Thank goodness I didn’t buy the gallon. Should have sprung the $12 for the hand pump. Ended up using the extra (new) house from the Stahlbus oil pan drain plug.
