HD tire carrier that works with diamond plate corner guards?

Will do. It appears to be they will work out perfectly. I won't have everything ready for another few weeks at least but I'll definitely post some pictures to help others out. Thanks again!

Should I buy this Ford 8.8 axle?

I found an 8.8 local with correct gearing to replace my Dana 35. The post mentioned that it's set up for 3-4 inches of lift with the Artec truss system. I'm running a 2.5 inch lift with no drive line angle correction. Should I go for it for $500? He mentions that the LCA mounts are not installed if...

HD tire carrier that works with diamond plate corner guards?

I just wanted to add to this thread a little. I received an email this morning from Ashton @ GR8TOPS.. With the corner armor, you can use the Exogate if you create spacers to fill the hinge cut out in the armor, and a spacer for the tailgate reinforcement bracket to make it flush. The HD...

HD tire carrier that works with diamond plate corner guards?

Awesome. I'm probably going to go this way then. Makes sense about grinding the texture off the diamond plate. Thanks Chris.

HD tire carrier that works with diamond plate corner guards?

Alright since you have forst hand expy with the MORryde setup, what if I were to just use the hinges supplied by Gr8tops, and trim the diamond plate where the hinges sits? I'm only running 33x10.50s. just got a new tailgate so I wanted to replace the hinges anyway.

HD tire carrier that works with diamond plate corner guards?

Looking at options from MORryde, Bestop High Rock carrier etc. I have metal diamond plate corner guards that are riveted on, and I have reason to suspect that they are hiding some body damage from the previous owner so I don't want to remove them. My concern is that the mounting surface is not...

    Can a 2005-2006 2.4 catalytic converter be used on a 2003 2.4?

Thanks for the response Chris. I guess I'm going to go for is and see what happens. Maybe I'll just check the return policy of wherever I order from to be safe. I have aceacc to metal fabrication tools, just didn't want to get everything torn apart only for the whole system to put me in lean...

    Can a 2005-2006 2.4 catalytic converter be used on a 2003 2.4?

Had a hard to searching for this topic since the search function will not let me invoice "2.4". I need to replace the catalytic converter on my 03 2.4l. I have found what I'm looking for, but I'm wondering if I can use the catalytic converter from an 05-06. Thwybare slighly different. They look...

Yet another brake issue post. Help!

I guess that's the next step. I also had a thought about a bad proportioning valve, but I don't even know if that can go bad.

Yet another brake issue post. Help!

Here's my status. In August ( So what, less than a year ago), I replaced: brake hoses (Crown stainless) new rotors (Centric) new AC Delco pads re-man calipers upper and lower control arms + bushings (stock) U joints (Spicer) wheel bearings (Timken) ball joints (Spicer) steering linkage(Crown...

4.3 Swap: transfer case / driveshaft question

Thanks for the input you guys! I had considered just making one. I guess what I'm thinking about is with only 2.5 inches of lift and the option to basically give myself a "motor mount lift" when installing the engine to help reset the drive line angle, should I even be worried about an SYE, and...

4.3 Swap: transfer case / driveshaft question

Planning a little engine swap into the TJ next summer. Only 2.5 inches of lift with stock style control arms. No plan (yeah I know) to do much more in that regard. The question is has anyone ever ran a slip yolk-double cardan driveshaft? Plan is to use the 4.3 (don't want to hear it!) I'm...

    255 V6 Swap?

I have a 350 small block available to me, but have you ever heard one of these old motors? Practical or not, the odd-fire thing has a grip on me for some reason. Sounds like a Harley motor to me. Just rad.

    255 V6 Swap?

No emissions testing in MI and I have one of these motors available to rebuild. Maybe I'm just set on the cool factor of an odd-ball odd-fire motor, but I think it could be cool.
