    Revving idle problems

Sorry jerry, I don't know why but I didn't see a notification from your comment. I was looking too. But incase anyone stumbles on this post with a similar problem I'll mention what fixed my problem. I first replaced the tps and it seemed to help but then went right back to it after half a week...

    Revving idle problems

Hello all, So I had a couple of codes pop up a month or so ago. Misfire on cylinder 5, a couple of O2 sensors and a failure to reach idle code. I replaced spark plugs, O2 sensors, and things were good for a bit. Haven't thrown a code since. But I am having this weird revv problem. It runs fine...

Desperate help with two pilot bearings

I believe I understand what you are saying. And I did already remove the last pilot bearing which had no accompanying bushing anywhere in there. So I'll just be installing my bearing/bushing, which came pressed together in my clutch kit, into my Crank. Now you said something about the...

Desperate help with two pilot bearings

They both fit the shaft oddly enough. That's part of the mystery for me. Like I said, im fairly certain I could install them in conjunction. I even found one post where someone said that they pulled out two pilot bearings. No one seemed to understand. I'm assuming something like this is the reason.

Desperate help with two pilot bearings

Well that's great news. I'm relieved to have an answer. It makes sense to me that it would be that way. I was just confused because of what I removed. I'll be on my way to finish up this install then. Thanks again.

Desperate help with two pilot bearings

Thank you very much for the reply. So on my picture the one that is the bushing with the pre pressed bearing should just press in as one unit? And just don't install the one in the smaller portion? And is it weird, then, that there was a bearing installed in the small portion last time and no...

    Heavy duty pressure plate?

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. This project is pressing now that neighbors are apparently not happy seeing my jeep on jackstands. Uhg. But what's weird is I never heard anything weird. It wasn't squealing, there was no bang. It just grinded a couple of times then I felt a...

Desperate help with two pilot bearings

Okay, im about to install my pilot bearing. Buuuuut I'm confused. I've spent hours researching and can't get an answer. I pulled my pilot bearing. I'll attach a picture of where it came out of. There's a small pocket where the pilot bearing came out of. Then there's a larger cavity. The kit I...

    Cockeyed rear main seal

No, I'm not. It's the first time I've done it on this jeep so the last owner was the last to do it.

    Heavy duty pressure plate?

Hello all, I'm replacing my clutch for the second time in 3 years or less. I'm attaching picture of the pressure plate. This is exactly what the last one looked like. I'm assuming it's something to do with the throw out bearing? Could definitely be wrong, but the throw out bearing is concave on...

    Cockeyed rear main seal

Hello all, I am halfway through replacing my rear main seal. Figured I would do it while I was replacing my clutch. I just pulled the bearing cap and, as you can see in the attached pictures, the seal had apparently walked itself around a little. Both halves were sticking out about a half inch...

    Clutch problems

Mostly 1 and 2. Second gear being the worst. Except from a stop wherein I can only get into 3rd 4th or 5th. 1, 2 and reverse won't happen from a stop. I'm definitely leaning towards synchros at this point. I'm going to take it into a shop to diagnose tomorrow because I don't think I can figure...
