I used to own a hot rod and restoration shop, and I'm here to tell you this is true all the way back to the C4.
Most C1-C3 owners that I've delt with are appreciative of what they've got, so they're not bad to work for.

Theend game outcome as son has been on the road a month and I can say ZERO issues. Ive driven it a lil and can report this thing: RIDES INCREDIBLE. The suspension is so much more forgiving than factory. Braking? Incredible. Power is maybe now a bit more than factory or the same but definitely zero power loss now. MPG is really the exact same. I`m now so Impressed that Im looking for a TJ for me. Yeah I wanna go 6 lift and right from jump tons. Ive learned a bit of my failures and accomplishments. Blower is getting ordered this spring for sons TJ and for mine,,,, Im sticking with the 4OH as well. All in all, a newer style past the TJ looks and is a pile or its not a true Jeep. These things are just flat out cool to look at, to drive, their just all around fun. I`ve learned an incredible amount on this plat form. Going in without a shop, i dont think its for most, but damn this thing is phucin cool.

just to chime in boys since we've had quite a few, Cadillac once again disappoints. We couldnt buy a damn thing. This is ugly, real ugly. The cimarron brings back swift memories. Caddy`s luxury/horsepower flagship realm is over. I couldnt even order a two door. Mark hated, as did we all the new Escalade, this is a pathetic lineup. Son even came by with the Jeep. Lotta brake dust on the fronts blaine. Ill be calling you for new pads soon. But anyway, just pathetic. Id rather buy something in existance and sink 40 to have waaaaay better. No, I probably wouldnt add a coolant filter due to room. But if its there! Why not nigga lol

Unless you are one of the single most unique situations on the planet, make sure you pull a rim and actually check the remaining pad thickness before you think you need new pads. It would be very rare to need a set before you drove it 35,000 miles.
To put that in perspective, the racers who run road course with them report that they get 2-3 races per set of pads. Their competitors are getting 2-3 sets of pads per race.
As for the dust, I'm not selling anything but the ability to stop safely.
