I screwed up my steering

Just started the Jeep for the first time since fitting the Crown steering upgrade to turn it around on the drive. My complete novice status has shone through I appear to have made a rather fundamental cock up. I have a lot more left lock than right...

I have checked and when I turn the wheel left I only have half a turn on the steering wheel, compared to a turn and a half on right, so I am guessing this is down to when I reset straight on the steering wheel. But what is more confusing is that when I find the middle of my lock-to-lock range on the steering wheel, the wheel is almost exactly upside down.

Having messed up once I am now doubting my own logic.

How can I fix this? Help.

We need pix underneath. Especially of the steering box/pitman arm when the wheels are straight ahead.
Thanks, forget the second comment about the wheel being upside down at straight, got that wrong. Pictures as requested...

Thanks in advance for any input.

The TRE on the pitman arm is way to far out. You must have not had the steering wheel straight. That pitman arm should be straighter when the wheels are straight.

Get the tires pointing straight ahead, don't worry about the steering wheel. Disconnect the drag link from the pitman arm. Turn the steering wheel to straight up. Screws the tie rod end into the drag link until it slips into the pitman arm without turning the tires or steering wheel.

What parts did you replace? You probably need an alignment, which is just a toe-in adjustment on a TJ. If you're up to it, you can do your own - there are instructions here somewhere.
