I Would Drive This Unimog To Work

This was in our local parade on the 4th. Got to talk with the owner a bit as well. To cool, sure come in handy around the ranch. Gotta laugh as some believe their jeep is built stronger than a Moog.

It was the cherry on top for me. It's a 64 to 67 non-walkthru Panel.

Different strokes and all that. I've been stuck behind way too many of those damn things to like them in the slightest. They all go to either Santa Cruz or Big Sur to die, and are frequently in transit between the two - where they'd be in my way! :D

Fun short story. I was on my way in my '61 High Hinge Sundial Camper to Irvine for the VW Classic show. Going west on I-10 through Desert Hot Springs area, a gust of wind hit us from right to left. I swear my passenger tyres came off the ground. I hit the next exit. My daughter and I both had to change our Underoos.

Been there , driving up a canyon in the winter with high wind in a 63 Transporter and going around a corner the engine started revving way up. My boss and I looked at each other and I said , " Is the clutch slipping ? " Then we heard a tire screech and the engine rpm sucked way down. We nervously laughed when we realized left side tires were off the ground momentarily ! Onward !
