What did you do to your TJ today?

We came game plan while you are taking a break. Just reading your signature, what is there left to do?

Oh there is always something… I need a new winch since mine broke, need to repair a small batch of rust, do some paint work, etc etc

Overall, nothing major, I’ve spent two years and too much $$$ correcting someone else’s neglect

I know your pain because of the corrections to my rig.

You need any bumpers?

After taking ownership of my new to me 1999 TJ last week my first project was to strip all of the interior out to give it a good cleaning. After that I addressed some minor surface rust on the floor pan with a wire wheel and some rust reformer. After seeing some solid reviews of the BedRug on here I ordered the front set and got that installed (at some point down the line I'll probably do the rear with it too).

Next on my todo list is to address some of mild driveline vibrations that are likely due to the 2in lift the PO had done, paint the fender flares, get some Rancho RS5000x on it and start to treat the underside to get rid of the minor surface rust and ensure it's protected properly going forward.

So, another clean Jeep that will look even better while sitting next to my dirty rig. 🤘

Haha, this is soon to be hitting some Colorado trails so it won't stay clean for too long. I need to stop thinking about it like our other cars because I try to keep them pristine and I just need to accept that this will be an offroader/overlander which implies it'll get dirty.

After buying a new battery several days ago and my Jeep was starting and running fine, I go out to drive it and.......... click click click.:mad: Radio and lights were fine. I jump started it to a rough idle and I have to keep on the gas or it cuts off (restarts fine). I'm guessing my nearly 20 year old alternator is bad? Everything went downhill after buying my wife the WJ.:unsure:

Note to self;
Don't try to be nice anymore. 👿
Check the wiring to the starter and whack the solenoid with a small hammer the next time it does the clicky thing. The starter will give you those symptoms.
