What did you do to your TJ today?

:ROFLMAO: Any size will work, or even a rock. The reason the starter stops working is the brushes wear to the point they no longer make contact. By banging on it, the brushes will move enough to contact the commutator again. But it only works a few times. Luckily it worked again when unloading from the ferry!?

LOL been there done that!, except the ferry truck had to push me off so I could fix it in the parking lot.

Refurbished the rear anti-sway bar. Cleaned, resprayed the bar and brackets black, new end links and new bushings. Wire-brushed the surface rust off the bolts and cleaned them.

Can I get a sanity check on my order of operations.

I’m replacing my cracked radiator so I’m taking the opportunity to replace my original waterpump with a new Mopar, at which point, the cooling system will have been entirely replaced.
Should I
1) pull the old, radiator etc, install new pump and radiator and that’s it?
Or
2) use an emergency patch on the radiator, pull the fan, install new pump, assuming the patch holds, I can test for leaks on the new pump and then install the new radiator?

I’d like to avoid rework but don’t want to make the install overly inefficient.

Patch jobs never last, and why risk damaging your engine, which will cost tons of dollars to replace? I say, do it right and be done with it, or #1.

Can’t wait for fall over here… who knows how long to go..

Yeah i’ve been keeping an eye on temperatures over there. It’s 36° over here at the moment.
My body will go into shock when we arrive in States next month 🫠 lol

Lubed all the fittings, installed oil pan / transmission skid plate, and installed a GMRS radio and antenna today. Full day but productive. For power for the radio I piggybacked off the fuse for the 12 volt power port. Figured the unit came with a plug to plug into it so figured this would be safe, I seldom use the power port anyways. I also tried out the York air compressor for the first time. From 15psi to 35psi in just over a minute, not too bad.
