Needed a side dish for my bourbon.
Had my first taste of Makers Mark 46 and Angels Envy tonight. Was out having dinner for my birthday with my wife and sisters in law. Had the Angels Envy at a fun dive bar and played some 3 ball with one of my sisters in law and had a great evening. I've kinda just started getting into good bourbons with my sister's in laws help and really enjoying the opportunity to try different beer and bourbons. The thing for me is, at 66 years old, I like good beer and having a good time learning about good whiskey. I just can't seem to drink as much as I used to, and not sure that that is a bad thing.

What is your take on the Angels and Envy? I have a bottle that is quite disappointing.
It was a gift and I don’t hate it so I’ll finish the bottle but I wont buy it. I find it too thin and flat, especially compared to others at that price point.

Makers 46 Cask after I’ve finished working on the POS lake house for the day. About ready to put a match to this pile.
Wife gets me a random selection of cigars periodically and one of these was in there, just smoked it and was really good. Smaller cigar but a really nice smoke. Was not expecting much from the size but did not look it up until now, seems like highly rated.
Picked up (6) bottles of this and tried some tonight, was happy to see the corks held even though it broke when I opened.
That’s a nice pick up. How did it taste after all those years? I know old decanters can be hit and miss.
Not the best stuff I’ve ever had but it’s fairly tasty. I was pleasantly surprised.
Good to hear. I’ve had a 1969 Jim Beam that tasted like rancid dish soap. Was bad, very bad.
