Found a new Arizona Pilsner in Safeway today. I'm a Lager, Ale and Pilsner guy and it's amazing the selection of beer that I find at our local Safeway. Since today was happy hour at our house, I tried the new Pills and had some Wolcott.

Tried this "over the top" smoked chili method everybody's been talking about. Fantastic. Tossed a couple wedges of Abuelita mexican chocolate in there to compliment the habanero... it was a nice addition but I think two wedges is one too many for a pot. Next time I'll try just one.

Smoked another Isla del Sol and leaned hard into my non-alcoholism

Jack - every year an old client picks their own barrel and sends me a bottle, and every year I donate it to my neighbors holiday party…and I like Jack.

The McClaren is so-so, I think I like the Gentleman Jack better, The 131 proof JD barrel proof is tasty and completely different than the 127 proof we already had but nowhere near as good as the 12 (can't wait for the 14) the 1792's are good but nowhere near as good as the single barrel Idaho store pick (or the 12 year we sampled at the local Whisky bar)
I kinda wished we'd got the Penelope toasted barrel but Penelope is an unknown quantity up here so I tossed a coin and I'm not totally bummed
