💯. I have a dehumidifier in my gun safe that needs to go in the oven a couple times a year, the wife is not a fan. It's gets done when she won't be around and then all evidence is destroyed with a simple lighting if the "vanilla bean Noel candle". She knows something is up though now when she walks in and smells it. I should've been smarter and just lit it at random times to throw her off my scent.

Should've gotten a fart scented candle. She wouldn't suspect a thing.

Sorry for the wait Boogieman! I had to lasso the sun and pull it over the driveway! It just broke 32° in the past 30 minutes, so decided it was finally time to wander into the outside world

I may go for a little photo shoot somewhere more scenic in a bit.

What paint products did you use? Was it a 2K clear?

Part numbers of what I used:

kleanstrip 1 Gallon Aircraft Stripper GAR4000

Rustoleum Self-Etching Primer 249322

Duplicolor HWP105 Bronze

Duplicolor HWP106 Matte Clearcoat

I also used various sand papers, steel wool, and degreasers, but those are available in various flavors everywhere you go, so part numbers aren't really necessary. I will say, however, after every step of paint i scuffed with 5000 grit polishing pads to help with adhesion. At least i thought it did. So, primer, dry for a day, 5000 grit. Color coat, dry for a day, 5000 grit.

I used a can of paint for each wheel. So, 4 primer, 4 color, 4 clear. Maybe over kill, but it's better to overkill squirrel than underkill a bear.

Edit: be aware I'm not professional painter by any means. There's definitely better ways to do it. But cheaper? Ehh

At this point Boogie, you may as well take a road trip to get them yourself. If you left at 3:33 instead of posting, you could have had lunch with the guy.

I watched Deliverance. I'm not driving through Kentucky, Alabama, or any other states where movies are made about their hillbilly antics in the woods. Watch all the WRONG TURN movies.

I will admit the last few pictures didn't really come out right, but it's fine. The pictures from the OP are clear enough to see the result. I personally think the graphite looks the best, but that is before considering the color scheme of your TJ. I think bronze will also look really good, and set you apart like Squatch said.
