Best Radiator for a TJ?

As a "Toy" new Jeep owner, its my belief it's going to be difficult to prove a 20 year old vehicle as a DD when most these days aren't.

I’m not sure what you are saying. I alternate daily driving my 1998 TJ with my “new” vehicle which I bought in 2005.

The Muddog, (2002) has been my daily driver since 2015. I got it to BE my DD.
As an aside, my wife's 2004 Durango is HER DD.

I got Ol Blue (2005 LJ) to be my daily and about the only place in West TN I haven't driven it is Memphis. But then I don't willingly go to Memphis and we take the wife's van when we have to go there.

If you can get one, there is no better choice than Mopar. Own a TJ long enough and you’ll soon find out why.

I know this is an old thread, but is there anywhere you suggest looking for a Mopar radiator? I have an 04 LJ and I'm looking to replace the cooling system with all mopar parts if possible.

I think they are no longer available. Most are replacing with Denso, and some with CSF.

I have a used Mopar radiator for a manual with 113,000 miles for sale for $75+shipping. Removed due to auto transmission swap.

Denso is what I went with. And for what it's worth, it has already lasted almost twice as long as the last Mopar I installed, which failed in the first year.

For what it's worth....I'm not impressed with CSF based on a recent experience. Not a Jeep though. I was helping a friend with a radiator replacement on an old Toyota Camry. His car has really high miles and he just wants to get a few more thousand miles out of it so he wanted a cheap radiator. He ordered a CSF from Rock Auto. We put it in carefully but apparently bumped it against something. One of the coolant pipes got a puncture. Tiny hole but still a hole. It barely bumped against something under hood. Very very soft aluminum. Based on that experience, I wouldn't use a CSF radiator again. Maybe I got one with extra soft aluminum. Not sure. Stick to Denso. I have a Denso in mine with zero issues.

Barely bump the Denso so we have a comparison.

My platics top cracked on my 1997 TJ. I replaced it with a Radiator Barn $120.00 all metal radiator in 2008 and it has been going strong for 15+ years.

I looked and no dice. They all say “discontinued.” 🤷‍♂️
I checked for a 2004 LJ. Shows available for me.
