What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally got this working, now with subwoofer ( took me a day of looking for gremlings)

Use the ice to reduce inflammation then the heat to loosen the muscles. Been dealing with a bad lumbar since 1983.

Unfortunately I’ve been doing that for months, and after the last MRI I’ve decided to go ahead and have the surgery next month.
Tired of the shooting pains down both legs and numb feet.

That’s what I have.

They work good and I’m almost positive that Blaine sent me a picture showing me what he was using and I think it was extremely similar if not the same thing-

I did several searches on the soldering and it’s just not recommended and I think what happens is it makes for a weak point where the wire is heated and the solder stops.

It was just one of the many things that working with Blaine recently made me realize just how much he has sweated all the details and he doesn’t back away from quality. I was like man I never knew how to do connections this way.

I’m telling you if anybody gets to know him they will really appreciate what he has to teach.

If he still does it, contact @mrblaine . You can get a Dorman brand 42RLE transmission pan off of Amazon that has a drain plug in it. Drop ship it to him and he’ll braze a bung in for a temp sensor and ship it back to you. Contact him for pricing and shipping.

I sent on to mrblane to have a bung installed. top notch work.

I have a few different that look the same. IDeaL makes the same i have I think same but yellow and Chanellock sell a similar pair that I believe is not as good , for some reason the insulated crimp side just isn’t enough.

Luckily for you he is very persistent and wants his brakes working properly regardless.
I tell him often he is gentleman and a scholar but I cannot confirm the gentleman part. 😋

He was great about everything and we talked candidly about everything between us.

Thank you for bridging the gap. Seriously, thanks.

Started installing the antirock rear sway bar and realized that I need to drop the gas tank. I had started removing the rear shocks to rebuild and couldn't get the bottom bolt out. Hit it with a big hammer and thought I was being careful but I messed up the threads. I was going to just put the nut back on and drive the gas tank to near empty because once I realized I needed to drop the gas tank I checked to see how much gas was in the tank (Of course it was completely full).
Fun times, I love taking some time to work on the Jeep only to end up at the starting point after spending so much time trying to fix my screwups.

I've been using a different style of non-insulated crimps, but seems like these are pretty popular with people who know a thing or two. It may be time to pivot.

I’m learning myself and I hope I’m on the right track. I love the method- It makes you feel good about what you’re doing.
