I drove it!!! Did the BMB break-in routine and it performed great. It was such a pleasure to get it out on the road for a little while; pavement and dirt. It’s been too long.
My front driveshaft is occasionally hitting my exhaust, but I need to shorten the track bar and pull the axle to the drivers side. That should fix it. Im psyched to drive her this summer!

My wife and I sold our Baja house and I flat-towed the LJ back to Minnesota. Unhooked the driveshafts due to the Atlas II. 2500 miles, and only cupped the front tires! They were slightly cupped before from low air pressure, my bad. The trip made the fronts worse. Backs are not cupped. Anyway spent a few hours getting rid of the Baja dust. Thinking of selling it, since we’re selling our long bed 2022 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel. Only 22,800 miles on it. Along with our Okanagan 811SL truck camper. Both are in great shape. Too bad it isn't available in shorter lengths. I don't need to stripe a football field! :D
Google is you friend. And eBay. You can buy all kinds of variations of the 3M conspicuity tape in quantities from a few inches to a football field…

We have in the past bought it in 18" lengths, like 12"red/6"silver. I bet if you check with a local FleetPride or Truck Pro they might have the short pieces.

You must read the item details. If it is from China, don't buy it; it is crap and not from 3M (see note above re 3 meters, ie 3M). I just ordered the diagonal red/white from Amazon. I'll post a pic when I get it installed.

More cleaning and scraping and painting today.

Also replaced the thermostat and put a cooling system cleaner in it. Held temp right at 195°F idling on stands for a half hour. I think the PO put a non-A/C fan clutch on it so I'll have to remedy that next.

I'm hoping to have it driveable by the weekend so I can get it registered and start driving it.

I didn't do crap to my Jeep this weekend. I'm recovering from a minor surgery (I'm fine) and it requires me to rest up and not be active. So, I'm just spending way too much time browsing stuff online.

OK. If you remember, I bought a new Bestop Trektop NX week before last (I think) because the original top was just too difficult to operate. I posted some pics of the new top & now we’ve got a string of nice days with no rain in sight so here are more pics. ‘One with everything in place, one with the windows & half door uppers removed leaving a nice bikini top (which I love) & one with the “Sunrider” flipped back into the opened position
This is so easy!

So front has jk bushings in the uca’s, in the front, one caliper is mounted, need to get the boot we dropped for the other lower ball joint. But the shop never flushed out the rear when the set it up from sand blasting so now I get to pull the carrier and clean it! A little pissed at this point!
