Maybe when they were new. Those are not nice arms, which may mean the accompanying not nice springs have sagged over time. It doesn't matter what they used to be. The tape measure tells you what they are right now.

35s will physically fit in the hole. That doesn't mean that they will allow the Jeep to perform as it ought to.
My advice is that any modification should always maintain the stock amounts of suspension travel. ~4" up/~4" down. You start to lose that at 31s.
This is where learning how to cycle the suspension is a very valuable to let to help you understand what is going on down there.

Cut the red boot off and measure the exposed shaft. Compare that to the space between the steel bump stop cup and the axle pad.

When the be 3.75" lift gets installed, does this include an SYE/double cardan rear drive shaft?

Got it. That is essentially a ~2.5" spring lift with a small body lift. Very similar to the Zone 4.25 combo lift, but a bit less lift. It's a good strategy. A motor mount lift may be something to consider. It helps with the rear driveshaft and it makes parts of the body lift easier.
The shocks may be the weak point in that they will ride rougher than is necessary.

Zone 4.25 combo with Rancho rs5000x shocks would be my recommendation.
I might even go so far as to use all stock control arms, until you can go with decent adjustables.

Hey man just ran across this thread and saw you had 31 claws on your TJ and that’s what I’m wanting to run. Did you have a small lift or what? Could I get a few more pics of when it looked like that and some details? Haha sorry for fan-girling
