Gun Rack Options

I don't open carry in populated areas, just draws unwanted attention. I only open carry in the woods, etc.

It's just the chance of your concealed carry turning into open carry due to clothes shifting, etc that is a concern.

Open carry is legal here in GA.

I was TDY to Dallas when TX passed open carry, According to the news, there would be blood flowing in the streets. Of course, nothing changed. Couldn't believe it hadn't been legal there.

Your right best thing about open carry is it stopped innocent people from being screwed with over imprinting.

Concealed carry is for protection. Open carry is for attention.

You know what a bad guy calls someone who is open carrying? A target.

Wether you open carry or conceal, shouldn't you pay attention to your surroundings? I don't like things in my pockets or having something tucked inside my pants. That's me. I'm happy I live in a state that I can exercise my 2nd Amendment rights how it fits me.

The RedRock piece is one of the better gun racks holders if planning to carry rifles, but the key is how it fastens in the UTV. If it uses clamps or existing holes, all the better. For pistol storage, look for a small biometric safe that’s rated for off-road use and can be secured to the floor or frame — keeps it accessible but locked down.

Yeah I decided on the redrock for long guns. Still tossing around under the seat pistol storage. Found several that are ok but nothing that just makes me say "that's it".

I wouldn't use biometrics for ANY safe, much less a gun safe that I might actually want to get into.

Unreliable junk. It works until it doesn't. If "it doesn't" is a SHTF situation, you're up the creek...

Hell, even expensive multi thousand dollar biometric systems don't usually work worth a damn, I sure as hell aren't gonna trust my life to a $150 "safe" with a $2.50 biometric on it. Nope, not happening. Same goes for electronic locks on safes in general, and gun safes in particular. Don't take my word for it, do your research.

Only time I've had a biometric fail is when my fingerprint is caked with mud or dirt. Otherwise no issues. However, if I do get the under seat safe for my truck, I'll just match it to my current tuffy key.

I'm looking at a keyed option for under my seat as I am a bit leary of anything electronic in an area that may get very wet.

My dad bought a name brand "safe" with that crap on it years ago. I advised him not to since I have no faith in it, but he is a convenience over everything kind of person. Well, to everyone's surprise that shit quit working within the first year, and he was locked out. :sneaky: After some runaround with the company, they eventually told him how to bypass that crap. It was as simple as running a pic into an access hole on the bottom of the mechanism, popping that off and turning the lock action. Now he has a big expensive name brand "safe" with a "biometric" lock on the front that you just pop off and turn with your fingers to open. I think he paid nearly $5K for that piece of "craftsmanship". :ROFLMAO:

It's hard to lock your keys up with that, and you always have to have a key to open it. This is a lot easier.

I don't have one, just repeating what Tuffy says: Warning! Do not operate the vehicle without the drawer locked shut. If left unlocked normal vehicle movements while driving could cause the drawer to open creating an unsafe situation.

The 05 and 06 are twins, and have some differences from the older model TJs.

That's most likely there lawyers talking, mine has never just opened up by it self while driving. When its closed it a very snug fit, and it requires a tug to get it opened
