What did you do to your TJ today?

Yanked a spare valvebody to bore out and replace the SSV this week. Also installed my hood louvers.

Feeling like an idiot. Been trying to solve a no start issue the past few months. Sent the PCM out for repair at one point when I thought it might be the issue. Yesterday i got back to it and decided to look at fuses again. Somehow I missed that the ASD fuse had blown. Replaced it, jeep started for a second and the fuse blew right away. Google said most likely down stream O2 wires were hitting the muffler. Checked the wires and they were burnt. Replaced some wire and the jeep started right up. Spent the day putting it back together and then took it out for a nice ride with no issues. happy to have it back and running.

Sorry to hear the rough road to get there — but the joy ride is worth the journey! Glad you got it figured out.

Google and AI helping point to solutions are the way of the future! Been leaning on AI (Grok) way more than Googling these days...

I was inspired by previous comments about my new job… driving around, eating and taking pics of New Zealand 😛
Drove about 2 1/2 hours south to an area called Blue Spring I went on a 3 hour hike..apparently it’s the clearest water in New Zealand and 70% of our bottled water comes from this area.
Have to say it was beautiful a lot more than these pictures can portray.

Wonderful photos - I saved the scenic ones to my rotating wallpaper directory.

Had a similar issue last year. Crank, no start issue. Send the PCM out to get inspected and it came back fine. Turns out that the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor are different parts. Many websites get them mixed up. I replace the camshaft position sensor (passenger side of engine block) and had no luck. After getting the PCM back, did more digging and found out that there are two different CPS. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor (driver side of bell housing) and it started right up. It sat in my garage for 2 months while I tried to figure this out.

Glad to hear your Jeep is back up and running.
