02 TJ over heating

Just purchased, has aluminum radiator, electric fan, thermostat removed. Did good for 20 mins down the highway at 65mph the instantly boiled over from 212 to 250 with in seconds.

I'd start with a Flowkooler sourced Robert Shaw thermostat at 195.

You've got a lot of mods that folks find either no luck or ones people spend a lot of time dialing in.

It's a wise thing to do, yes. Let's say you buy a used Jeep Wrangler TJ with 100k plus miles on it. Well, first and foremost you have to know that as I'm writing this in 2017, your vehicle is anywhere between 20 years old (if it was made in 1997) to 11 years old (if it was made in 2006). Either way, if you have no record of the cooling system having been replaced, then you're on your stock cooling system, and even if the miles are lower, that's still a lot of time for a cooling system. Any idea what electric fan? Some have very weak air flow.

Either the electric fan is too weak or not turning on at all. Could be a failure of the temperature switch. Is the temperature switch the type that's stuck in the radiator fins or is it submerged in the coolant using a hose sleeve?
