What did you do to your TJ today?

Got hung up on a rock and tried to polish my driveshaft.

Are you referring to the hoist a top or the non OSHA compliant stairs? :ROFLMAO:

What about no railing on the deck? No fall restraint system. No posted signage. No hard hat for an overhead lift. No lift plan. Use of unrated equipment in a lift. No spotter. No safety shoes.

I could go on. Come with me, and you'll see...a land of OSHA violations...as Matt on Diesel Creek likes to sing.

Technically, those are not OSHA violations, since it's in your garage. The gubment doesn't control that (yet)... :ROFLMAO:

If it's sketchy and you know it clap your hands...

Remind me I need to build a shop crane. Since I sheetrocked the ceiling I don't have access to the trusses for rigging.

This is why I added blocking and outlets for 3 hoists in my shop. 2 Wrangler hard tops and one extra in case I need to lift something heavy out of my truck bed.

Not done to the jeep yet, but some parts finally arrived.
These are the new KB stroker pistons. They have a slightly higher compression height closer to the stock deck height (0.015" in the hole). They'll give me a better quench of 0.041" with my 0.027" head gasket and stock deck height.

It's gonna be a while. Work is busy and I've got travel coming up through Sept and October.

I always think SCAT is an unfortunate name for any company that sells quality products 🤣🤣

Me too! I don't associate it with the old 60s Dodge Scat Pack branding/slang.
As with alot of things, they're part of a conglomerate owned by PE along with AFR (heads) and Racetec pistons. They've got choices.

It's my favorite word IF used with a middle finger gesture. I don't have enough time to flip-off all the people that piss me off everyday with my driving job, so I use a decal. 🤫

A scuff & shoot. After patching the few rust holes, the bare metal was sprayed with epoxy primer. Then the whole Jeep was sanded to 80 grit and sprayed with 2 coats of high build primer. After sanding to 220 grit, the Jeep was sprayed with ~4 coats of Eastwood Acrylic Urethane; color "Shaggin' Green Metallic"

My 1st TJ was a '97 and was Citron Pearl. I really liked that color and this offering from Eastwood was a close match.

I would like more info on this please. Is this a one stage or two stage color. Is this a custom mix or premix. I like it a lot

I haven't posted in a while as I've been busy working on my motorcycles more than my jeeps.

That said, My Apex now has 33" tires on it and I don't want to put the spare on the factory mount with out reinforcement, so I sucked it up and ordered the morryde tailgate reinforcement kit today. I'm going to try it with the stock mount initially, but I think in the longer run I'm going to fabricate a new mount so I can suck the tire in closer to the tailgate.

Not a super exciting update, but I am looking forward to having the damn tire out of the tub!
