I tore out 98% of the sound system wiring today. It didn't sound terrible but I was getting really bad interference from somewhere. Also, it was laid out really inefficiently (one amp under each seat) and the wires were held together with hopes and dreams, and wire nuts.
My wife put up her Christmas tree last week (true). Only 111 days until Christmas. Shop early for the deals.

Adjustable Swaybar links today following lift install. These are a cheap clone of the JKS quicker disconnects… had to tap one of the U-straps as they forgot to do it at the factory 
also the allen bolts for the pins are imperial!! Don’t have an imperial tap set so ordered some 40mm M8 Ti allen bolts instead.

Had to break out the custom park brake since I didn’t get a chance to install the new parts before my trip out to west Michigan.

Here's how I fixed that. Big wrench, and a little twist.

Just check the your clearance for those frame mounts. Mine for the JKS had the tires rub and knock out the lynch pins. Had to start putting a thin rope on the pin to stop from buying more after each off road trip.
Ultimately, I just bungie corded the disconnects and sway bar up to the fender support bracket.
Thanks I will bend or even trimming the pin a little. What’s weird is I don’t know how I managed to get it on, maybe the road wasn’t level
Thanks for that heads up I did try to full lock steer in both directions to see if could get the passenger side link off the pin but didn’t think to check for clearance on the frame pins.

What do you guys think about this sub amp mounting spot? It's directly beside the main wiring harness to the steering wheel
Edit: looks like the two screw holes I have access to go right into the cowl. Is there anything important back there? I would just seal the screws with sealant of some type but don't want to hit anything important.

Installed some Auxbeam Amber Fog Lights on my new bumper. Used a bracket with two inch holes designed for the new Broncos. Worked perfectly.
Also installed an Auxbeam 8 Gang controller that has been sitting on a self for too long. Decided to install the circuit breaker on top of the air filter box.
Need to do some testing tomorrow. All installed, but the lights are not working.
So it continues . . .
Getting prepped for all 5 days of the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail. We did 2 days of it last spring, but ran into massive rain, and even got lowkey stranded at a campground behind a low water crossing that became uncrossable by morning. We'll be lucky to see water with how this summer has gone.
Anyway, had to do some 3 card monty with hardtops tonight. Took a good hard top off my daughter's 97 and put it in my garage for now. Took my crappy hard top off my 97 and put it on hers to get ready to sell (I opted to not let her take a 29 yr old jeep away to school). Then I re-installed the soft top that had been crammed into the back of my jeep since last summer, when we drove it across the metroplex to pick up the hard top that is now in my garage. The trick was that when we went to pick it up, I couldn't get one of the straps to pass between the rollbar & soundbar, so my soft top has just sort of hung there for the past year. I'm really good with some things, and really bad about just living with inconveniences that could be resolved in an hour if I weren't lazy.
Once the hard tops were in their new resting places, I went to put the soft top back into place, only the header bar was missing one of the brackets. Being that I am known to be lazy about putting things away, I knew it had to be in the jeep. But of course it's night time so everything is harder. Eventually I do find it, but the bolt is missing. After a whole lot of searching, I happen to catch a glimpse of something shiny wedged underneath the bracket where the factory bottle jack goes. And just like that, I'm back in bidniz.
