I have a 97 TJ and wanted to delete/relocate the fender turn signal, and want to know how you guys have done it.
I saw a TJ today on which the owner welded a plate on the fender where the light would go, filled the hole with bundle then install round lights on the grill under the
headlights. Looked good.

Please share pictures if you have done this as I want to get ideas on what to do for my 97 TJ build project found here

I have the typical relocated to grill light setup. Used the clear/white JK turn signal housing with an amber led bulb. Really simple, just a hole saw slightly undersized and friction holds them in.

Then my Poison Spyder fenders have the small holes in the front for turn signal/markers. Still didn't provide much side visibility at night, so I made some recessed fender panels out of carbon fiber and ran some led strips inside along the top to give a subtle glow when the signal is on. Just to try something different.

One of my first mods to Ripley was to move the front turn signals from the fenders to the grille to transfer her from a Tj to a Cj8 wanna be. I’m not happy with my paint job but as the entire truck will get painted before I’m done it will be okay. The 1/4 in aluminum plates are screwed and bondoed into the opening. There is a couple of very good tutorials out there.

Another one with JK turn signals in the grill. The TJ bulb sockets fit right into the JK housing

What front bumper is that?

Has anyone ever done this with the factory turn signal housings? I know the classic Jeep look has round signals in the grill but I like to be different. Wondering if anyone has done it and if it looks somewhat half decent.

I have always loved the CJ turn signals and locations. However, in the Jeep world, only the DJ and TJ have fender mounted signals, along with some specialty military models. I am keeping my signals in the stock location. But the mod looks great, no question and too bad the TJ didn't come with from the factory.

I was thinking about this too, but then LED headlights with Halo lights have come out. I think when I'm ready to go flat fenders, I'll use the amber/white halo lights as a DRL and turn signal, instead of the JK option.
