For those following along at home, my damaged Sony DSLR is repairable, a $20 parts body is on its way to me. I also bought another body, one model newer, for $68/shipped. So I'll have two, which makes life easier on serious shoots anyway, only problem are the operational difference between the two models - including the memory cards mount backwards from each other. What's up with that? :D

For local stations, I'm sure that's true. I'm not convinced for DX...
Yeah, I'm not sure. I never listen to the radio, so it didn't matter if it worked or not. I got it for asthetics. I always listen to digital media, because I hate listening to 30 minutes of commercials between each song 😂

Agreed - I just ordered a new head unit myself AM/FM/USB so I can plug in my "Geek sticks" and have control over my own playlists. I *do* listen to the radio on occasion though.

Nice!! I love the new head unit I just installed a couple weeks ago. I can actually see the screen in sunlight now lol

I had my wife with her small hands, attempt to remove that thrice damned nut on the back of the stock stereo. She couldn't do it, and I certainly can't. I also *think* said nut is a nylok. How the Hell did they ever put this mess on at the factory? Must have been pre-assembled into the dash when it was dropped in.

Time for Plan B. Since this thing is toast anyway, I'll just dis-assemble it (read: break it apart) from the frontside. I need to rescue the CD it ate, but otherwise it came come out in pieces.

Luckily I had an aftermarket unit that the PO installed, so I didn't have to deal with that. Sounds like the perfect job for a BFH 😅

Today turned in to “what did your TJ do to you?” Was getting ready to head to church this morning and found this 🙁

I had actually had that tire patched a few weeks ago. While they’re older BFG KOs, they still have plenty of tread left on them so I wanted to try and milk then as long as possible. Guess it’s time for new ones.

Extreme Terrain Barricade brand. Unfortunately they stopped making them a month after I bought it. They only sell $450 chrome ones now. I've seen people Plasti-Dip their grills and they looked great. I've never had good luck using it myself.
I’ve got a neighbors old chrome grill I’ve been slowly getting the plastidip off of, and it’s not as easy to remove as some have said.

I let it sit for most of the week after barely making it home from work on Monday. Did some research, i have a Mopar cam sensor coming (ebay), but went ahead and picked up an aftermarket cam and crank sensor on Friday. Was going to replace the crank sensor and swap engine harnesses this morning. Found the bolt loose on the crank sensor, but went ahead and put the new one in. Decided to wait on swapping harnesses. Drove it around for 20 minutes. Never missed a beat. But i gained a cam sensor code i didn't have before. Lol. Nice. But also thought, it's going to come back and bite me. Drove it to my parents for lunch and it started to softly miss and sputter. After lunch I borrowed my parents car to run home and grab the new aftermarket cam sensor and tools. Swapped it. Drive it home and it was bad.
