Mods that I liked more than I expected

My favorite mods were:

Swapping the left and right door handles for a more natural grip when opening the doors.

Adding GrabarsUSA grab handles and raising the rear view mirror out of my line of sight.

I didn't know that was possible, that would make the girlfriend incredibly happy, she complains about the door handles every time she gets in

My wife just suggested I move the door handle mod to the top of the list. The YJ was great, why did they reverse it for the TJ!? Thanks for posting, I had no idea it was that easy.

Got rid of swingout tire carrier. Did my own version of reinforcing the tailgate and hinges. Really like how it sucks the tire into the back and gives a full view out the back window

also really happy with Grab Bar. Never liked the straps on the rollbar

My favorite mods are the 3 Plymouth Fury horns that I installed from my ‘69 and don’t remember Furys. I smile every time that I hit the horn. No more meep-meep junk. Sounds like a train horn to me. The other is my over the windshield alum shelf. It holds a rifle or shotgun just fine and is pretty much invisible from outside. And finally the alum tonneau bed cover.

Definitely the 5.13 regear with ARB! Soo much better than open 4.10's. Oh, and the hand-throttle, when off road now I never touch the gas pedal.

Revisiting this thread--heated seats are still a favorite. The on board air is also on that list along with the 03+ TJ seats

I've really liked my tool box more than I thought I would. Having the lock keyed to the Jeep's key is also really nice. All my trail storage is now in the tool box or the seat back pockets, so it keeps everything nice and tidy.
