What did you do to your TJ today?

Swapped out the H2s for some Steelies. Much better

Thanks, I had to cut two of the front arm bolts which was a pain, but got it done. I should flex test it somewhere tomorrow. Can’t wait for my boss to get the 60’s for his TJ, then I get his old axles for cheap. 30 front and 44 rear, both with lockers and chrome moly shafts
Where abouts in Washington?

John, nice work! Welcome to the addiction.

Dunk, good job man. i love wheeling with my daughter as well. Side note, there are a LOT of TN members here, we need a gathering!
Yes I see the TN all over, we should definitely organize something!

as you can see my winch plate and bumper are today’s projects as they REALLY stand out as needing a little rehab.
Lots of great pics and updates. I’m new to the forum and have not figured out how to “like” others posts yet! But good stuff you guys (and gals)!

Any recommendations for the other pieces like fender flares and hood latches to bring the black back?

I have seen some nice looking replacements from Rugged Ridge for the hood latches. I did the flat fenders on mine from Paramount on amazon, they had better reviews than the EAG flats and were the same price, fairly easy install and they look great IMO.

I like the black headlight bezels too. Did you paint the chrome ones or buy them black? I’m thinking about painting mine. They look so much better black than chrome IMO.

your basically making me a list of places to go exploring lol
The possibilities are endless around here, especially if you're just wanting to explore and not get into totally hardcore wheeling, which there is that too.
I've only been in the area for about a year and have wandered around here in the southern end of the Cherokee NF and parts of the Chattahoochee and Nantahala NF's in GA and NC.

I recently came across a route called the Smokey Mountain 1000, which links many miles of off pavement roads into a loop, some of which I've already done. Check it out.

Tightened up the parking brake after telling myself I was going to since last Fall. Ran out of threads on the adjuster so I threw a washer on each end of an extra shock bushing, put the nut back on and bought some back.

I’m sure you already know this but you can gain more adjustment by adjusting the actual shoes through the oval access hole on the brake housing.

yea defiantly will have to check it out. I have lived here all of my life. Although this is my first Jeep that will be a Jeep, spent most of the scenic driving on two wheels all over the mountains in the Smokies also I live about 15 minutes from WindRock.
