What did you do to your TJ today?

I use a silicone grease like brake pin grease or dielectric grease on rubber bushings. Petroleum based greases can degrade the rubber.

Since I got back from vacation I've been driving the Jeep around and seeing how I like the new OME springs and the Rancho shocks. So far I'm liking them a lot! Soaks up the amazing Toledo pot holes much better!

But unfortunately on this moring's drive to work I felt the lovely amber glow from the check engine light pop on. That damn P0016 code again. I've replaced the OPDA over a year ago and re-used the orginal sensor and this is the second time in about 2 or 3 months it popped that code.

Just keep clearing the code! your engine will tell you by "noise or drive feel/ operation" when there is something wrong, we have all gone mad! letting new tech tell us everything "We need to know" when we dont really need to know it at all!
If it limps fix it if it dont then leave it! :) just my opinion lol

I'll have to start leaving the code reader in my glove box!😅 Luckily it hasn't gone in to limp mode!

Its been driving great since I got it back from the shop after the suspension work and lube job was completed! This morning on the way to work at 6am I had the cruise set on 65mph, had some tunes going, just thinking to myself how well it was driving. 3 minutes later the cruise control shuts off by its self and the check engine light is greeting me😑

Welding vertical on a frame is never a good idea. Especially a long weld like that.
They were individual tacks left to cool the tacked again. Used only to fill and keep most of the heat off the frame. Same way you would weld body panels to keep warping at a minimum. If you notice there is very little heat marks on the frame.

Moog makes some rubber sway bar bushings, but their blue ones are Thermoplastic.

New bumper this weekend, I had one I thought I wanted then this one popped up, it’s a bestop and was 160 shipped to the door a steal, and definitely could get my money back if I hated, bought it directly through them.

only issue I have had is the Grade 5 bolts I bought to replace just don’t wanna go in, the factory ones are tapered and these are not, but not sure if that’s my issue or just need to chase them to clean them up.

Also know that a lot of people hate on the badlands winches had one for years on the car trailer and it’s been great and for 300 Black Friday deal decided to stick with it.

Finally got around to going to my local locksmith store as I needed to retool a key for the tailgate on my 01 TJ as it seems the seller I got it from a few months ago didn’t include that key lol.

Pretty simple to get the lock out, took the cover off the tailgate latch mechanism, took a pressure fit pin on the end of the latch rod connected to the lock and slid a wedge pin from around the lock itself and out it popped! Got a key made and in 10mins reinstalled it and now have a working tailgate lock. Onto installing the trunk cap I have from my last Jeep to give me secure storage with the top off

Man if you can find those hooks, it'll look strong.

Finally got a good weekend and replaced my seized clutch fan and tuned up my ignition system. Couldn’t find OE wires that weren't $100+ so I just got a NGK set, they feel solid enough and no problems so far. Also got a mopar rotor and brass cap, old one was aluminum and was badly worn.

Still looking for a junk yard that has a jeep, I need to get a front valve cover bolt before I do that job, as I ripped the head off the first bolt. Also need to do valve stem seals while the cover is off, im burning some oil.
