What did you do to your TJ today?

I had the same problem and ended up grinding the bolts down to a shorter size that would clear the rope.
I tried using a pair of nuts to space it up further, but that would have been too much - so I just moved it on over. Still don't know why the PO of the winch thought it was "all that and a bag of chips" to have it over the drum.

No additional lights nor trailer towing. Possibly a moisture issue from a recent pop up rain shower.
When Zorba asked about the adding of lights without a relay; he meant whether someone had replaced the factory headlights with higher wattage bulbs without the use of a separate harness and relay to power the increased wattage lights.

No. About 3 years ago I swapped the stock headlamps for ARB H4 housings and Piaa Extreme White bulbs rated at 65 watts. Also replaced the stock foglights with Piaa 540 amber series lamps. From every thing I read these changes didn't require any additional relays or harnesses.

I did trim back the acoustic insulation I installed when I upgraded to Polk dash speakers years ago. That additional material may have held heat in the connector as the insulation was jammed up against it.

That too - but I was thinking about what happened to my '87 F-250. Added cab lites, illuminated running boards, and extra lites across the back. Then pulled a fifth wheel trailer with its array of lites. The headlite switch connector ended up looking just like the one we're discussing!

Pretty sure this pic violates forum rules and results in a suspension until the offense is rectified. I'll leave it to @Chris to arbitrate this.... ;)
Doesn’t anybody use the Forum guidebook anymore?
Man, all that work.

I like to go on Job interviews, then fire the guy when it goes bad. Then go back a couple of weeks later and get upset when the guy is still there.

This may be a silly question but what good are coil springs that the coils are stacked together like the upper area of the coils as pictured?
They don’t stay that way when the tires go up and down. Got to have some extra rather than stress the spring.
