I believe you are correct, but this requires two people and/or a device to hold the pedal down while you first loosen then tighten the bleeder. I think the OP was trying to do a one person method?...... \

I have bled brakes like this once or twice, the amount of dirty fluid drawn back in is pretty small as long as there is plenty of clean fluid in the master cylinder, unless I am missing something (which is entirely possible). The only other way I can think of that would not have any dirty fluid...

Since no one else has answered you I will give my best guess, the arrow is to the inside since there is a cross member there and the lack of bracketry would allow for the clearance needed. Also, the long bracket makes for solid welding on the outside of the frame rail..... just my 2 cents.......

I am having difficulties getting the pitman arm end of the drag link tie rod end off. Any suggestions? I have a pickle fork on it now and have used some heat from a mapp gas but it is not budging.... Is this the same part number as the other left hand thread tie rod end? TIA
