Does anyone here know how to remove the sealant type material that is on the passenger floor holding the cage in? I am trying to remove the cage and that sealant is the only thing keeping it in.

If it's not your daily driver, and you don't care a whole lot about the amount it would help offroad, then ya it is a lot of money to spend for not many benefits. Re-gearing I would say is a much bigger upgrade for people who have oversized tires and still use their jeep for their daily driver.

For 33's, if you are going to drive it on the road some then I would go with 4.56, if you know it's going to be strictly a trail vehicle, then I personally would move up to even 4.88's.

If the only problem on it is the rust on the fenders, that is a hell of a deal. But like what K0LCB said, seems like too good of a deal for there not to be something else going on.

Looks like a great deal to me. The 4.0 would have tons of life left with 150k on it. It already has all of the suspension and driveline upgrades done to it already. If the only body rust that is on it is the fenders, then I think that is a steal.

So I've been looking at gearing just for fun. And I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what reverse gear ratios, short pinion, or the thick type are. And also when and why a new carrier would be needed. I've also seen lockers that require either a certain spline count or ratio.
