Rain water gets in hood louver, causing belts to squeal

I have a poison spyder louver installed for about 3 yrs now no belt noise and I wash my engine regularly the louver does help keep the engine bay cooler which should help extend the life of belts hoses and other plastic parts. I agree with Sundowner you may need to replace a belt or idler. Good luck

Should I look for TJ wheels or JK wheels?

Another opinion I run wheel spacers and JK wheel bolt pattern with no problems do a little research and make sure everything is torqued properly I don't think you will have any problems. JK wheels are cheap on craigslist and the proper adapters work well.

Towing your Jeep with a truck and camper

Your going to get many opinions on here about flat towing vs a tow dolly. As for me it works well I have a Master Tow with surge brakes and so my brake requirements are covered in every state and I don't like portable braking systems. I would love to pull a trailer but my hitch is rated for 5000...

Issues with wheel adapters and lug nuts

I use a 1 1/4 wheel adapter for my JK wheels with no problems one thing I do caution is to make sure the adapters are "Hub Centric" this allows the hub to support the wheel instead of the lug nuts. I had to order rings to fit my DC wheels but all is snugged up. Good Luck

Any 17 inch wheels with 3.75" backspacing?

If you run spacers make sure they are hub centric and use wheels that fit the hubs also or order the correct hub centric rings to fill the gap. I am running a JK bolt pattern on my TJ with 1.25 hub centric adapters and hub centric rings to fit the wheels. By using the rings you are not...

    Wheel adaptors & stud length

I am running JK wheel pattern on mine with 1.25 adapters. make sure the spacers are hub centric so the load is carried by the hub and not the lug studs. With 35/12.50 on the factory Rubicon wheels I got a little rub at full lock in the steering so I purchased a wheel with more backspacing.

    My latest worthless mod

Sorry for the slow reply after I drilled the 1" holes I used a cutoff disc on my 4" angle grinder worked pretty good then I used a file to smooth the edges prior to painting for rust control. I did remove the hood as it made it easier for me to reach but I have seen videos where the install was...

hood vents with brute force intake

The hood louver did NOT lower my engine temps it did however lower the time to cool off and temp of my engine bay. Personally I would cut the holes for the louver if you install it you already have to drill about 20 holes for the screws and you might as well get what benefit you can. I think...

A few pics from Silverton and Moab

Thought I would post a few pics we had a blast although we could only stay 3 nites in Moab. Who knew they would be that booked up? Anyway the time was priceless. Some of the drop-offs in the mountains are breathtaking although the pics don't show.
