    Wiring harness question

I pulled the dash and steering column on my 2002 TJ to replace the evap and heater core. Unfortunately it took 3 months to get back to putting everything back together. I have two connector that I don’t see any wires to plug into them. One is on the steering column harness and the other is part...

Who is the resident frame rust repair expert?

So I picked up a 02’ with the bottom of the frame roached out. I removed all the body mount bolts and jacked up the body 2” and rested on 2x4’s at body mount locations all the way around. I started on the passenger side and torched off the rear lower control arm and welded the new one in, then...

    Exhaust system hardware

Fun times with 2002 TJ. Snapped both muffler flange bolt studs when trying to remove the nuts. The studs were splined and pressed into the flange. I heated them up and pounded out the studs. Then I went to the catalytic converter and tried to remove the 3 connecting bolts and they wouldn’t...

    Axle indentification

Just want to confirm the rear axle. Working on a new Jeep for my daughter. She’s turning 16 February 3rd. Build sheet says Dana 35 rear axle with 3.73 gears. I swear it looks like a Dana 44. Can anyone confirm? Reason it is even a question is the pinion yoke has 3 bolts broken off in it.

    Rear door adjustment

On my 2002 TJ the door sticks out about a 1/4” when closed. Is there an adjustment so it goes in a little more? It opens and closes fine and the gaps are all even, just doesn’t go in far enough.

    Love bad frame jobs

I love having to cut, grind, pull and torch 1/4” angle iron off a frame to fix it properly! Thank goodness for cheap Chinese plasma cutters that work great!

    Is this a spring spacer?

2006 TJ seemed to be sitting low in the back. I pulled the front wheels off to strip the black spray paint from previous owner and while waiting for aircraft stripper to work on the wheels decided to do a little inspection. Looks like a 1” spacer at the top of the front spring. Maybe added to...

Strange noise and intermittent no start

Hi everyone, I have a 98 jeep TJ, 4.0, automatic. I have a strange rattle that I can’t pin point. It almost sounds like tin slapping on something underneath the drivers area. I will post a video so you can hear the noise. The second thing is it is not starting all the time. Hit the key and it...

Can’t believe they painted the wheels

Bought a 2006 65th anniversary edition wrangler a couple months ago with 109,000 miles on it. The kid I bought it from is in the military and owed $13,200. We met at his credit union, I paid 8k, he paid the difference and I threw it on a trailer and took it home. Said it needed a new...

Is this an ABS sensor issue?

I’m going to take a flyer here and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. My daughter has a 98 TJ. Had to put new wheel sensors on the front. ABS light went off and the first time it was driven it came right back on. Thought maybe I installed them wrong or the rust on the tone...
