    I agree. Very good price for this 2006 model given your description. The minor repairs you mentioned gives the new owner (especially a newbie) a chance to do some work in order to be invested in the machine. Did I miss where you posted the mileage?

    TJ - Nice post. Lots of good information. Thank you for that. I'll check out the company you mentioned and probably mirror what you did. Rivets seem like a better option than screws, since there's no worry about vibrating loose.

    Okay, replying to myself here, but just for 'closure' it looks like a good fix might be to find some tough nylon strapping somewhere, cut it to length, chop off the existing rivets on the bow frame, then use 3 sheet metal screws with washers to re-install.

    The soft top on my 2004 TJ is in pretty good shape, but the 2 inch straps that are riveted to the frame bar (one on each side) are tearing away. I think these straps provide tension when the soft top is up, and they definitely assist in raising the top. Any advice on replacements - or what you...
