Spider gears broke on my JK 2013 Sport

This is why they are called stealerships and why I will never take my vehicles to them. They are ripping you off. A regear is more work and is $700 in my area. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally finished my switch box. Well, kinda. I at least got working what I already had connected (rock lights and driving lights). I need more connectors to completely finish the wiring and I need to finish my bracket for mounting the relay box in the engine compartment. I also made a booboo...

    Air Compressor wiring

Awesome! I think you convinced me to connect it so it's available without ignition being on. At least it makes noise so I shouldn't have an issue with leaving it on by accident. I've had that happen more than once with spot lights since I drive to work before the sun comes up and get there...

    Air Compressor wiring

I'm wiring up switches for future air lockers and not sure if I should tap into ignition or an always hot circuit. Do compressors pull a lot of juice from to battery or can I run it with engine off with no problems? I figure front/rear lockers should definitely be to ignition circuit. Sent...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Finished up my DIY wiring harness. Still need to epoxy the positive and negative terminals to the side and find a place to mount it under the hood. Next up, making a switch box to run the cat5 to. Then, while I was in the engine bay, I put my WTJF support sticker with the others.

What’s your preference, automatic or manual transmission?

When accelerating from stop light, I'm glad I have a 5spd. When I'm trying to crawl rocks or stuck in stop and go traffic, I wish I had an auto. When my nv3550 tranny goes south, I'm hoping I can foot the bill to swap to an auto.

MML vs Low Profile Transmission Mount

I originally put in a MML to help alleviate vibes from a 3" suspension lift and offset it with a BL at the same time. Not long after, I got an SYE when I went to 4" springs but I left the MML installed though since it gives me an additional inch of clearance under the jeep at the oil pan...

Swap 1998 4.0 manual for automatic. How expensive?

Hmm... I too want to change from 5spd to manual but I'll probably wait until it has to be replaced. How might using aftermarket skids affect this? I'm still running the stock, but eventually would be getting either UCF or Savvy which I believe differs for manual/auto trannys. I think I'm in...

Absolutely! I always have a bunch of them in my tool box when I go offroading along with duck tape and JB weld.

After 193k miles, it finally happened

Yes, I"m feeling better about this. I know I still may be driving a ticking time bomb, but I'm not about to spend an entire weekend plus $500+ unless it's broken. I replaced the radiator today because I'm fairly certain that's what was losing coolant. Yesterday and this morning I fought to...

    Radiator removal help

All done. No leaks so far and I got it up to 210. I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can top it off again. Dang fan shroud bolts from the old radiator to the new one don't match up. Waste of a trip to TSC to buy bolts. I have it on with zip-ties for now.

    Radiator removal help

Well, the radiator showed up soon after I returned with replacement bolts. Not sure about this radiator. Does anyone else think that this would affect how well the hose seals?
