Throttle body leak (bushing or seal replacement options?)

I did a boost leak test using soapy water and found both ends of the TB shaft leaking. No other leaks at the TB. Is there a seal and/or bearing for each end of the shaft that I can order? Or is there a TB rebuilder that anyone would recommend I contact? I appreciate the help on this.

    Transmission shift point problem

Hey everyone, I have a 2002 Jeep TJ 4.0L that is shifting almost immediately from 2nd to 3rd gear. I attempted to adjust the shift points at the TV/Kickdown cable on the throttle body but this did not make much of a difference no matter how far I adjusted the cable to each side. The transmission...

Installing cruise control on a 2.4 liter TJ

Hey guys! So I've got an 06 Wrangler with the 2.4 and the 6 speed. I was wondering if any of you 2.4 guys out there have put cruise control on your TJ's. I pulled the cruise control module out of a liberty and it worked well and hooked right up to the TJ factory wiring but the cable was too long...

1999 TJ TPS / Throttle Body Question

I'm replacing my TPS on my throttle body. I took a torch to the screw because they wouldn't come out. And I notice a orangeish liquid coming out around the shaft, it dried hard. Did I just melt a gasket or something or is this some of the loctite?

    After battery replacement issues

2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 3.7liter I bought about a week ago, and first thing I did on payday was replace the battery. I let advanced auto do it as I didn't wanna haggle trying to find miss match tools and shit. But anyway I noticed as I was driving back to work that the rpms were through the...

    P1604 headache

I can't seem to win with my TJ. Just fixed a few issues and now I'm throwing a p1604 code. This is a communication issue apparently with the computer. I just completely removed and cleaned my throttle body and IAC so I'm thinking something during that processes may have caused this problem. The...

High idle after replacing IAC valve

Hi all. Here's the story: I've only had my 2004 TJ for about a week or so. I purchased it used from a dealer, and overall it runs well. Drove it this morning, all was good. Several days ago, she did something weird: She whistled. Not a small whistle, oh no, but a large all out steam kettle...

Do throttle body spacers work on Jeep Wrangler TJs?

There are some products out there that claim to be able to improve on the already significant engineering that has gone into your motor. The 4.0 engine in the Jeep Wrangler TJ is well known to be a hard engine to get power out of in terms of "bolt-on" modifications. You don't stand to gain any...

    Throttle body butterfly valve

so today I took on the task of cleaning my throttle body. As usual I have to take it to the next level. I pulled the butterfly valve and set screw that hold the plate open just enough for idle. Now I have no clue what the gap needs to be between the butterfly valve and the throttle body. I...
