05 TJ 2.4 P0344 woes

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and apologize if this has been covered, but I'm having issues with my jeep dropping into Limp mode after throwing a P0344. The jeeps been throwing codes pretty consistently since thanksgiving, and I have been diligently replacing parts as their codes come up, and so far have replaced the crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor (not OEM or MOPAR, I couldn't source one), alternator, and PCM from Wrangler fix. The P0344 code has been consistent, and I'm at a loss for how to address it at this point.
The first Camshaft sensor I swapped in is a Dorman Camshaft Position Sensor 917-701, I am replacing it with this Eichln model from NAPA but I am not optimistic. Any suggestions?

Hi All,
Just following up in case any other 2.4l owners hit this error code. We replaced and the camshaft position sensor with the Eichlin (be very careful with the placement on install), but also saw some crazy numbers in the electrical system. It may have been a short some where near the splice right by the crank shaft position sensor or just a dirty connection. We cleaned every connection and splice we could get our hands on, and got it running again
I’d like to source a wiring harness to just replace the whole thing this summer. Any body have any leads on any part numbers?

Thanks Kon! I appreciate the links, but this actually highlights an issue that I had. By and large this failure happens on the 4.0 and seems to be occur at the OPDA. Since the 2.4l doesn't have an OPDA that leaves the 4 cylinder boys like me on our own. If any 2.4l owners come across this thread in the future hopefully it can help them a little.

Did you ever get this resolved? I am helping a friend with P0344 and the 2.4L in a 2005. She had more codes to start with and we resolved some with sensors - map sensor and one with harness -MAT sensor. Now we only have one code but it still goes into limp mode with 344. Ohm check all wires from sensor to PCM while messing with harness. It has 5 volt reference and the PCM ground. Does anyone know the wire color at PCM c2 for a cam sensor signal. Was planning to use an oscilloscope to look at the signal at the sensor and then at the PCM. If that signal is good there the. It is a wranglerfix PCM that is about 6 months old that she installed for another issue. Any thoughts?
