Looking into upgrading my dana 35. Since I was given a locker for free why not throw in some decent axles and see where it takes me.

2.5cyl with AX5
dana 30/35

What I have:
32s
4.10 gears
open dana 30/35
Arb 27 spline locker

Goal;
Locked front and rear
5.13 gears
arb rear, lunchbox front
33s

Looking into shafts for the rear, I came across two brands for them. Rough country, and Revolution gear. Rough country states they are 25% stronger than OEM. Revolution Gear says only 10%. The price is only a few dollars different. Just curious if anybody has ran either or should I just roll with the revolution since ill be running the same axles.

Links for both axle shafts.

1541H is 1541H, both have the same strength with everything else being equal. Go for the Revolution Gear, axle shafts and gears are all they do and their quality is unsurpassed. I'd trust RGA without even a nod to anything made or claimed by Rough Country.

And 1541H is exactly what you want for your Dana 35. Go no larger tire size than 33" with 27 spline shafts. :)

Jerry,

Thank you for the response! It was the direction I was leaning towards, but it's nice to always reach back to the ones that have done it before.
