16x7 Dorman backspacing / offset question

Looking at the above rims. Failing to understand backspacing and offset... whether the rims will properly fit my TJ or not.

Anyone with more knowledge on the subject willing to read the specs and give me a recommendation?

Yes they will fit a tj just fine. I'd rather have an 8" rim for larger than stock tires though.

3.75"-4" backspacing is perfect for a tj. Offset isn't useful

4 inch backspacing should be fine for your tj

Are you sure you want to be stuck with 16 inch tires?

Going for the pizza cutter/steelie look . Can't find 15 inch rims in this style with the proper width.

Looking to wrap them in 235/85-16, which comes to just under 32in. Not looking to go past that to avoid lifting higher than 2.5in

They are right in the middle for recommended width for 235/85-16

I ended up going with 16" wheels just to run this size. Tall and narrow / pizza cutter tires are not to be had in 15" .

Except for the 33x10.50R15 and 33x9.50R15 sizes. But I agree that if you don't want to go with 33s, you're out of luck for a tall skinny 15; it's a shame. I've noticed a lot of 32x10x15 SxS tires, but they're not DOT approved.

On my K-20 I ran 255-85R 16 , basically a 10:00 X 33. That and I am not a huge BFG fan after dealing with mountain snow commuting on KO2 All Terrains.
Huge praises and only half ass okay performance would sum up my experience.

Kenda has an AT in 33x9.50. I lived in Evergreen and commuted to Capitol Hill daily with KO2s on a Tacoma, so I understand your thoughts. I did like them better than the Toyo O/C ATII I had though.

I just bought new rims with an offset P19, they are a bit closer.
