1998 TJ - Family Truckster

Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't done much to the Family Truckster lately other than enjoying it! I did add a new 3rd brake light as well as American flag decals. I also got to take it wheeling for the first time but didn't get a chance for any good pictures. Hi-Lift Jacks sponsored an event at RedBird SRA we had an absolute blast!

I don't have a lot of big plans coming up with the Jeep. I will more than likely purchase a new soft top for it before winter gets here, need to purchase an adjustable front track bar (probably metalcloak), and plan on flushing the coolant and power steering fluid in the very near future. I am also always on the lookout for a set of 4.10 gears out of a 4 cylinder TJ for the right price. I wish I would have purchased a Jeep a long time ago!

I may have some 4.10 gears for a front Dana 30. I'll have to check my stash.

Tune up day today for me. New plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. By the looks of everything, I think it’s safe to say they have never been changed.

You have one of the first TJs I've seen where I actually like body matched fender flares!

Really?? I feel like Jeep fenders are not supposed to be painted but I don't hate them enough to change them out.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think I'd like them more in black, but they don't look bad as they are!

Been working on the jeep here and there over the last couple weeks. Stumbled across some rubicon flares so decided to ditch the painted flares. In the process I went ahead and painted the rocker cover black as well. I painted my front signals with nite-shade to help out with the white/black theme. I don’t have everything buttoned up yet but I had to snap a few pictures because I couldn’t believe how much it changed the look.

I also was able to pick up a super nice hardtop that was almost priced to the point to where I thought it was too good to be true.
