Hi all

I'm new to the forum, but have had several Jeep Wranglers over 25+ years. I'm having an issue with a 1998 TJ. As of this morning, i t won't start. I turn the key and get a single click and that is all. A few things to help diagnose...I had a new starter installed within the last 4 weeks. The original was done but had served me well to say the least. New plugs, distributor cap, etc., installed too. The jeep has been starting perfect and easy before this morning. The battery is less than 6 months old and is an AGM. I threw a volt meter on it and got upwards of 12 volts. When I turn the key, the gauges, radio and other electrical come on. It's a standard, not automatic and I replaced the clutch switch before having the starter replaced. I have not tried a jump yet (had to get to work, but plan to jump it later this afternoon).

I have one additional note - I was having fm reception issues and did a double check to make sure the antenna lead was snugly in the back of the radio which had me reaching into the glove box area late yesterday after I got home. Too coincidental perhaps?

Any ideas on what it may be? In particular is there anything in the glove box area that i may have hit?

I also saw discussions about the ignition switch activator and ignition switch being possible issues.

Thanks in advance!
