2004 TJ gauge cluster back light

Does the cluster have back lights during normal running? At times during daylight hours, the cluster is difficult to read.

Yes, I did see other, what appear to be lights in the cluster as well.

I did change out the lights when the headlights are engaged. A nice addition.

I bought his used, and not really sure of daytime background lighting

NO. Cluster lights come on with the parking/headlights. If you can't see it clearly during the day, a trip to your local eye doctor can help.
