2005 Wrangler X Issues

I've never seen one that was corroded where the injector goes, but I'm in the South, so a lot of things posted from the rust belt surprise me.

I cleaned and painted my rail. It had light surface corrosion.

Possible you got shit o-rings.

I don't recall if you've tested your fuel pressure but it could be high.

Yea I was wondering the same thing about the o-rings, but at the same time, I dont think it should be that hard to get them in. I’m talking damn near couldn’t get them in. At first I thought maybe they gave me the wrong ones so I tried an old one just to see and it was the same case, couldn’t hardly get them back in. The injectors are in great shape themselves and are Mopar. I’m just not sure where the hell to go from here.

If there was enough corrosion in your fuel rail that the injectors won't seat, you need a new fuel rail, and most likely new orings.

Also, post a pic of your one screw TPS.

Understood, I’ll get a new rail and new rings again. I can’t figure out how to get the fuel line off the rail is the issue there. And for the TPS, I’m an idiot and mistook it for the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor screw is what isn’t coming out.

You need a 5/16" fuel line quick disconnect tool. Or a sharpie marker cap in a pinch.

Get some lubricant in there too and hose out all the grit.

Got it. Just ordered the set. Any recommendations on what fuel rail to get? Trying to keep it cheap if possible.

If you could find a clean used one, that would be the cheapest. Be sure it's not been leaking at the damper.
