2006 TJ will not start, I was using it all night to deliver pizzas with no problem and suddenly turn the key and get nothing. Some relays click but that’s it. P0633 and U0168 displayed. The pcm is from flagship one and has worked fine for months, unplugged battery for ten min and U0168 went away. Still would not start, swapped relays around and still won’t start, put the old PCM (only worked in second gear but no other issues with it) back in and still nothing. Left it there and got a ride home.

Starter, alternator, computer and battery have all been replaced and working without issue for around 3 months.

P0633 is a skim code...the fact you have a different computer...could get nauseating

Could it be the wires at the starter? Theres a small wire with a terminal end that hooks up at the starter.
On my jeep that little wire gets grit & gunk in it, and makes a bad connection.

I still had the old computer in the Jeep that worked just fine, only in second gear though. Changed them out and the problem is still there.
I did look at them because I changed the starter out last year but they looked fine. Do you think I should take them all off and put them back on? I don’t have a radio so I listen to it quite a bit and their have been no strange noises. I have a rotationally variable whine in 4wd but that’s a transfer case issue I already know I did and should be unrelated.
As someone with experience doing it how would you recommend cleaning the wire that does not bolt on. I tend to leave those types alone as much as possible. Figure I’ll fuck it up if I take a wire brush to it.

Id just remove the small wire first, or wiggle it to see if it makes a difference.
If its loose you could gently squeeze it together just a little to make a tighter connection.
Clean it however you can and maybee electric grease puting it back on.
I cleaned my connections like you would for battery terminals and also sprayed them with a red oil spray made for battery terminals.

Is there a ambler circle with a key inside displayed at the top left of your instrument cluster ?
As previously posted; the P0633 identifies there is a problem with SKIM; caused by one of two problems.
1. The SKIM does not recognize the programmed key; suggest you start the Jeep with your spare key.
2. The module inside the steering column is either defective or the connections are dirty; suggest disassembling the plastic clam shells that surround the steering column and inspect the connections for the module.

There is no Amber circle. My key does not have a chip. I’m not with the vehicle but it drove just fine 5 min before this. I will take the plastic off and look at it when I get back to it though! Any other suggestions knowing there is no circle?
