307s to 513s?

I have an 02 TJ with a 4.0 ,3 speed auto trans and 307 gears. It has a 4 in lift on 35s. i am going to re-gear it with 513s. So I have the best of both worlds living in eastern washington. There's five square miles of sand dunes outside my back door that is surrounded by a lake that is drained for irrigation every summer, leaving really awsome mud flats. Also, wheeling in the cascade mountaians is only an hour or so away. So sand,mud,roads and trails. do you think 513s is to much? I wecome any input on this matter. Thanks

Yes 5.13 would be way too low of a ratio considering your 3-speed automatic. 4.56 is ideal for 35's for your particular transmission which does not have an Overdrive.

Since you don't have a overdrive transmission I would look at 4.56 or 4.88 gears instead of 5.13.

4.88's only if you don't drive much freeway or can deal with 60 MPH.
People have gotten to use to vehicles having a overdrive. And most don't realize TJ's still had a 3 speed auto in 2002.

I'm HOPING mine might actually be running this year.
