Looking to come up with the proper safety equipment for my 04 LJ. It will be a straight forward 35' midarm with locked 44's etc.
It will spend most of its time on the trail at Rausch creek and other east coast parks. This will be a trailered rig and very seldom street driven, maybe shirt trips in town etc.
I have no experience with cages, harnesses etc. I gather that a custom built cage by a reputable shop is good approach. With this in mind, what seats and harnesses are best to use? I imagine that street safety and trail safety are very different and could prove detrimental in a crash or rollover.
I won't have back seats. It would love live its life running trails. The entire purpose of this jeep is so I feel more comfortable on harder trails with increased roll over/flop risk than I currently run in my 35" jkur. That jeep is mostly road driven and sees blue trails with very few short black trails at Rausch or anthracite.
