Hello,
Recently I've been having some issues with the engine in my 06 Rubicon sputtering and dying when throttling. It started when the gas gauge stopped working (will drop to empty and gas light comes on). It would still drive fine but at high speeds (70-75mph especially up any hills where I have to throttle a bit more) it would start to sputter. So I would lay off the gas and it would be fine. Drove it like this for a month or so. But the last several days it will sputter and the engine will shut off while driving at any time especially when i have to throttle up hills or in general. So I have to pull over, and restart the engine. It will restart fine but as soon as I throttle up again the same thing happens where it will die while driving. I replaced the fuel pump thinking that's what the culprit was, but it's doing the same thing after replacing. I pulled the codes and here's what I'm getting:
P0462
Fuel level Sensor Circuit Low Input
P0344
Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Intermittent
P0700
PCM detects a malfunction in the transmission control system
P0562
System Voltage Low
I recently had a remanufactured Bullripper tranny installed so I'm really hoping it's not anything transmission related. My next plan of attack is replacing the Camshaft position sensor. But I wanted to post this to get any insight/thoughts from the forum about what the issue may be. Thanks in advance!
