4 low not engaging

4l doesn’t want to engage, it would pop out back into N once I would go into drive. Now it doesn’t engage at all. I’ve done some research and I went ahead and bought a savvy transfer case cable. PO had a tc drop but we installed a SYE. I’m assuming the cable is all I need? Thanks

An adjustment is likely what you needed, but the Savvy shifter cable will be a big upgrade for sure. Highly worth it and it will make shifting the transfer case much smoother.

Both posts are on target- the nut that locks the throw rod can be loosened, actuator rolled back on a rubicon and forward on all other models, and retightened,

The cable is a true upgrade. Far superior in operation and feel.

Most likely a free adjustment will fix it. If you want a cable shifter they are on sale at Savvy for $140.

I tweaked the tub at the driver's door of my TJ the winter before last. After that I had the same problem, T-case would not stay in 4lo. I looked and it would not be possible to adjust the shifter enough to make it work, so I bought the B&M cable kit and had it installed. I have not had a problem with it since.....
