On rock auto they have a USA made Delphi pump Assy. Has any one tried this. As our TJ get older more OEM parts won’t be available if we all stick together and communicate on what works I am sure we’ll keep them running for years to come maybe a list at some point with proven replacement parts Right now I am waiting to do a heater core since OEM has been discontinued hoping for feed back on good replacement
On another note it has become popular for some parts advertised as lifetime warranty I have found in a lot of cases this is the cheapest worst part you can buy they are just playing the odds of car getting sold wrecked etc they have so little in part probably if had to give you 3 or 4 and still make a profit

"Lifetime Warranty" Don't you love when a crapy part comes with a free replacement when it fails. So I have to spend time or money replacing the crapy part and I'm suppose to install another one just like it? I don't think so. I try to buy the best I can once.

Yeah, this is the one I'm leaning towards (for replacing the entire assembly) given that it seems availability Bosch pump is limited.
Maybe our next best option would be the Delphi assembly with the pump swapped out for Bosch 69316 fuel pump?

You guys have me worried, now I need to get a fuel pump just to have it. Is there an easy way to tell what fuel tank I have? Or is there only one fuel tank. I see listings for 15 and 19 gallons unless I'm confused, which is easy these days.
As far as I know it's stock.

Answering my own question, I guess it's 15 gallons. Several sites say the 2.5 SE came with 15 gallon tanks.

One way to verify the tank size is to look at the build sheet. However i have had no success getting mine via Jeeps customer service so I got my build sheet by pulling into a jeep dealer one day @ the parts counter.
You may know that Jeep recalled the 97 fuel pump assy. If that recall was performed, the build sheet will document that recall.
If not, you can drive in to any Jeep Dealer and get a free fuel pump installed.
That recall had been performed on my 97 so I was outta luck. :-/ Recalls do not expire.
Check on your recall, you could get lucky !
I just ran my jeep way past empty and when I filled it up I put in almost 18 gal. So it's gotta be a 19 gal tank

I just bought the last one off Amazon. The one in my 2000 TJ is original so now I have a spare. Man...what other parts do we need to start worrying about, I plan to keep this TJ another 10-20 years.
I think Delphi is a sister company of AC Delco who is owned by GM, I cant recall. I am sure they are nicer than the other offerings still on the table. I believe they build some OEM parts for GM
Check all the after market suppliers.
Jeep quit selling just the ignition switch years ago.
But Dorman has a replacement.
Jeep also quit stocking LJ specific parts a few years ago.

There is a Jeep website which gives you the build sheet for your TJ serial number.
