If you want something that's a bit more durable, though a good bit more prep work as well, steel it is probably you're best bet out of a rattle can. I redid my shocks with the black, it goes on nice and thick, smooths out on its own very nicely and hopefully cures pretty hard and durable. I did 4-5 coats on my 2.5x12" shocks and resis with three cans to give you an idea of coverage.Both good points. Black paint from a rattle can it is.
These guys had the best price at the time, though TMR does some sales every now and then. Haven't got my shocks on yet, but a lot of the racing and trophy truck guys seem to like it for their chassis and such
