Advice Needed on Roll Bar

I have the stock Factory roll bar and soft top in my TJ and have removed it for an interior spray liner job are there any recommended mods or upgrades to do to the roll bar while I have it out of the Jeep, the roll bar is in good shape and rust free FYI, the reason for removal was to check and see if there was any cancer that needed to be addressed before spray lining the interior of the tub

Depending on your budget...

1. repaint your rollbar.
2. add new padding
3. Spray your old padding with duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint.
4. Add a sport cage kit for moderate to little strength increase.
5. Replace your cage entirely with a full cage kit.
6. Replace your header bar with a heavy Duty kit from Poison Spyder.
7. Add some roll bar grab handles

....just to name a few....

Also, with the roll bar out, fold down you windshield and check the bottom of the windshield frame for any rust/rot.

we have a sport bar, not a roll bar.
if you look at real roll cages you'll find what is offered to us is pretty much just flop tops. they are not triangulated enough to be real cages. and leave out inner structure bracing in favor of passenger space and cargo room.

i'm using p. spyder kit i got cheap to start out with, but it's lacking in so many ways.
i know some bawk at bleepin jeeps, but he does have a fairly decent vid on cages and triangulation and keeping tubes inline and why.

i've found a good bender and die and raw tube is cheaper than any boxed junk. i had the plan to do just this but when this PS cage came up NIB and dirt cheap i jumped on it. but there are parts i won't use and parts i cant use and parts i need to make, so i really needed that bender anyways and coulda done this from scratch. sure the investment is about 6-800$ but so is a crap cage. and once you own this crap you could recoup funds making bends for others.
