Not that I know of.
I was only there a little over a year when they started the SSB program for us mid term soldiers.
Fucking 1SG hated me where as my BN CO & XO both tried to talk me into staying in. Told them if they'd transfer me to a SF BN & give me my E-7 I'd stay.

Ya, just jump out of the valley and you would have been there. I am going to miss Kalifornia. I was all gung-ho a gfew months ago about "we can do it", take back our state, turn it red, etc.. What a crock. Can't win playing with cheaters and liars.

I lived in the area my entire life until 4 years ago, watched Ft. Ord get converted to civilian use, blah, blah, blah. Drove through it every day for several years - there was a sign that read "Bayonet Briefing Room" with an arrow I used to see. Near the 12th st. gate (Marina side). Always wondered what that was all about.

What was up with your 1SG?

E-Locker, trouble free, locks on the spot.

All I can comment on is how durable the ARB locker is and as long as you have leak free connections they will work 99% of the time like they are suppose to.

I broke teeth off the ring gear and they took out the side cover on the ARB. Yes parts had to be replaced but it still worked after all this. And if there was enough force to break teeth off a Dana 60 ring gear what kind of force was being applied thru the ARB?

It's that 1% of the time that makes for a bad day!

He just had a hardon for me. I was going thru a divorce and my ex had contacted him saying I wasn't supporting her when I was but she was trying to get me in trouble. And we'd butted heads a few times over bullshit so when they came out with the early out program and my MOS came up I walked into his office and told him to FUCK OFF and applied to get out. 14 years & 2 months active duty. But no chance of being promoted becasue they'd over promoted in my MOS.

They built a gigantic housing development out by the East Garrison, which added a shit ton of stop lites on Reservation road. Then they connected 12th st. to whatever road that was that crossed Reservation to get to the airfield (I forget its name now), which certainly was an improvement. Stilwell hall fell off the cliff into the ocean - there was a bunch of gnashing of teeth and attempts to move it further inland but nothing came of them. The biggest change was the establishment of CSUMB (Cal State University, Monterey Bay) which is still growing.

Oh, and Marina is *STILL* known as a speed trap! They split Ft. Ord more or less 50/50 with the city of Seaside - and the speed limits are artificially low on the Marina side.

I got 3 speeding tickets between Monterey and Watsonville on my GSXR1100. 2 of them I was doing 100+ but they only wrote me for 70+ & the third one I was coming towards town and there were two HOT girls ( Ladies ) in a convertable BMW that was on a 4x4 frame. So I'm passing them while giving a thumbs up and they smile and laugh as they're pointing over their shoulder so I look in my mirror to see flashing Blue lights.....

ARB had an issue with their vendor that supplies their internal Bonded Seal. It was not the correct material. I believe it was spec'd out as Viton but the vendor supplied some other material. Quite a bunch of lockers went out with the incorrect seal (mine being one of them). I called after installing a new locker that started to leak internally after a month. That was installed after I had just replaced the seal in the 18 year old locker that was in the Jeep. l thought the old locker was finally worn out. Both the replacement seal on the old locker and the new locker were bad. They were good in sending me a couple of seals for the lockers but it was a PIA to have to remove and replace them several times due to a bad bonded seal.

Thanks for the great insight, has ARB permanently resolved that issue by now?

I believe so. They were certainly aware of it last October when this all happened to me. They knew which seals were bad. If it was a black seal, it was bad. If it was brown, it was good.

I just know that they sent me the correct seals and I haven't had an issue since. I sold the old locker with the new seal (brown) in it and that has not been an issue either.
