Almost got stuck today (good thing I was in low and locked)

In all seriousness, I was wondering what I should do if I got a flat on this 40 mile stretch of US412 at the tip of the Oklahoma panhandle.

When I was much younger (and dumber), I had a Bronco with 36" Cepek Fun Country tires and no matching spare. I got a flat out in that area while going to check out Black Mesa, the highest point in OK. I had to call a tire shop in Boise City and they sent out a mobile truck for repair. This was in the mid '90s, I don't recall the cost, but it wasn't cheap and was in the triple digits for a tire repair.

Surprised you even found a tire shop in Boise City. It's lost a third of it's population since then and most of the businesses are closed.

Same area, in 2010 - I once came out from a lunch stop in Clayton, NM to a sidewall covered in bulges and bubbles. Spare was dry rotted. It was labor day, I was pulling a trailer full of quads and bikes....and there was actually an open tire shop in Clayton. He fixed me up with a correctly sized used tire for around $35-40 to get me the rest of the way home to Tulsa. Like most of Boise City, that tire shop closed down some time since then.
